The Story Behind The Work
Dinner was served but I didn’t get to see any of their faces.
I’d written the murder mystery, cooked the three course meal, built the custom tablescape by hand, and curated every favor box. I was every vendor in the room that night: chef, waitstaff, stationer, decorator, host.
I don’t remember a single moment of it.
If I could go back and be a guest at my own table, I would.
That’s why I do this.
I know what it’s like to love hosting, to bring your favourite people together, and then spend the whole night in the kitchen, missing the experience you worked so hard to create.
